The window / door contact is easily attached to the frame of plastic windows using the adhesive strips supplied. For installation in the frame, a minimum distance of 15 mm between frame and casement is required. Afterwards, the sensor is not visible from the outside. In addition, the long battery lifetime of 4 years (typically) means that maintenance is only rarely necessary.
SMART MONITORING FOR A SECURE HOME
Opening and closing of windows and doors is detected immediately and displayed via the Homematic IP app. In addition, your home becomes even more secure with a Homematic IP Alarm Siren (e.g. HmIP-ASIR-2). If a window or door is opened, a loud alarm sound will be triggered automatically. And the greatest advantage: as soon as the window or door is closed, the sensor disappears invisibly in the frame.
FRESH AIR BUT NO WASTE OF ENERGY
In connection with the Homematic IP Radiator Thermostat, the temperature in the room is automatically reduced if windows are opened for ventilation. The lowering temperature can even be defined by the user. The individual comfort temperature is automatically set as soon as the window is closed.

In just a few single steps, the 15 mm flat sensor is fastened to the inside of plastic frames where it reliably detects the current status of the window via a light barrier. Once mounted, the window / door contact takes care of automatic reduction of the room temperature during ventilation or triggers the Homematic IP Siren in case of unauthorized access by third parties. An integrated tamper contact reliably detects an unwanted manipulation or disassembly of the sensor. In addition, the Homematic IP app displays the corresponding status at any time. Two micro batteries offer power supply for the sensor of up to five years.
