The Homematic IP Window Handle Sensor is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and detects, whether a window is open, tilted or closed. Due to its slim design, the innovative sensor can be installed under the existing window handle in only a few single steps. Thanks to the wireless communication and the battery power supply, there is no need of making changes to the windows or frames. Once installed, the sensor detects the position of the window handle on windows with opening to the left and right. Besides for triggering of alarms, the window handle sensor can be used in connection with the Homematic IP heating control. If the window is tilted or opened, the heat that is supplied to the radiator will be reduced. This saves valuable energy.
