STRONG PERFORMANCE
The high-resolution sensor detects movements in a range of up to 7 m. The powerful lens precisely detects even the slightest movements, such typing on a keyboard.
SWITCHES LIGHTS ON IF NEEDED
Lights are switched on automatically if a person is present. If no movement is detected, the light is switched off again. The integrated brightness sensor also monitors the ambient brightness, switching off the lights as soon as the room is bright enough.
SECURE MONITORING FOR INCREASED PROTECTION
The sensitive sensor reliably monitors a room and provides a loud alarm in conjunction with an alarm siren (e.g. HmIP-ASIR-2) in the event of a break-in, for example. With its modern design, the sensor fits inconspicuously into the living area.
ADJUSTMENT OF BRIGHTNESS
Unlike conventional sensors, the automatic temperature compensation of the presence sensor offers the advantage that a continuous sensor sensitivity is always given. This ensures precise presence detection in a room even in case of increased surface temperatures (when using a floor heating, for example).
FLEXIBLE MOUNTING THANKS TO BATTERY OPERATION
Supplied screws and plugs enable flexible installation on the ceiling. Two mignon batteries are used for the power supply, which supply the presence sensor with energy for up to two years (typical).
The Homematic IP Presence Sensor is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and reliably detects smallest movements in indoor rooms. After mounting the presence sensor to the ceiling, it is able to register even smallest movements (e.g. typing on a keyboard) in a radius of up to 3.5 m and a detection angle of approximately 105°. Larger movements are detected in a radius of up to 7 m. Apart from this, the integrated brightness sensor is able to detect changes in the brightness level. In this way, lights are switched on automatically if motion is detected. The presence sensor can also be used as sensitive sensor for alarm detection. To ensure the detection sensitivity also in case of increased room temperatures, the sensor automatically adapts to the respective conditions. The small sensor is mounted to the ceiling using the supplied screws and plugs. After installation, an integrated tamper contact reliably prevents from unintended changes of the presence sensor. As soon as the sensor unit is removed, a message is sent out via the Homematic IP app. Power is supplied by two LR6 batteries, offering power supply for the presence sensor of up to two years.
