- Can be used with up to four floor heating actuators even without Homematic IP Access Point or Homematic Central Control Unit CCU2
- Offers switching between summer and winter mode - heating and cooling is configured by a corresponding switching output and input
- Thanks to the input for a humidity limiter, mould formation caused by condensation water on the cables in cooling mode can be avoided
- Input for temperature limiter for protecting the floor
- 0 to 10 V output e.g. for controlling a controlled domestic ventilation system
- Easy to install with screws or in DIN rails (DIN Rail Adapter HmIP-DRA, part-no. 150123A2A, optionally available)
- Set of in- and outputs that can be flexibly used to control the floor heating or for general smart home applications
- For operation, one of the following solutions is required:
- Stand-alone (without Access Point or Central Control Unit, configuration directly at the wall thermostat)
- Homematic IP Access Point with free smartphone app and free cloud service
- Central Control Unit CCU2/CCU3 with local user interface WebUI
- Third-party solutions of partners
The Homematic IP Multi IO Box operates as separate control unit for switching of boilers, circulation and heating pumps within the Homematic IP smart home system. Up to four Homematic IP Floor Heating Actuators can be used without the need of a Homematic IP Access Point or a Homematic Central Control Unit CCU2. With the appropriate configuration of a switching output or input, the Homematic IP Multi IO Box allows switching from winter to summer operation enabling not only a heating but also a cooling function. The input for a humidity limiter reliably avoids mould formation caused by condensation water on cold pipes. In addition, an input for a temperature limiter protects the ground from too high temperatures. The inputs and outputs available can be programmed flexibly either for controlling the floor heating or for general applications in the Homematic IP smart home. Installation of the Multi IO Box can be done either using the supplied screws or the additionally available DIN rail adapter (HmIP-DRA).
