With the Homematic IP Dimming Actuator for brand switches, the existing light system can be easily integrated into a Homematic IP smart home system. Thanks to its compact design, the dimming actuator comfortably fits into standard flush-mounted boxes.
The existing switches can be replaced in only a few single steps if, next to the phase conductor, also a neutral conductor is available in the flush-mounted box. As the device is a trailing edge dimming actuator, it is compatible especially for classic incandescent lamps, HV and LV halogen lamps (with electronic transformer) and dimmable energy-saving lamps as well as dimmable LED lamps. The maximum switching capacity is 80 VA. Immediately after set-up, the light output can be dimmed in 0.5 % steps via the free Homematic IP app. Conventional operation via wall-mount remote control also remains available.
Thanks to various adapters available, the dimming actuator can be integrated into the most common brand switch systems of Busch-Jaeger, Gira, Merten, Berker, Jung, Düwi and Kopp. The standby power consumption is approximately only 0.4 W.
